I believe that everyone possesses tools to overcome any challenge in life. There are times when life has us feeling stuck and we need help finding the key to our tool box. With all the hurdles life throws, we can be left feeling hopeless, leaving us to forget tools that have helped through past obstacles. To help individuals and families overcome these life challenges, I use a strengths based approach and other evidenced-based approaches to help individuals and families reclaim their fortitude in life.
My experience ranges from helping others through life adjustments to severe mental health diagnoses. Over the past 17 years I have specialized in psychosis, mood disorders and substance use. I work with a range of populations from children to older adults, including couples and familes.
The therapeutic relationship takes prescedence in all sessions, and it is here where healing begins. As this relationship develops, clients will learn how to use their unique strengths to overcome personal challenges. My hope for each client is to help them reclaim their mental fortitude to live their best authentic life.
