I work with children, teens, and young adults (up to age 25). I initially focus on learning about a person's challenges and strengths. Then, together we develop a plan for gaining mastery over difficulties and achieving goals. Often challenges feel overwhelming when first seeking help, but most people find initial sessions to clarify goals while also setting the stage for long-sought change.
My therapeutic style helps learn to identify new ways of approaching challenging situations, thoughts, and feelings to develop an overall sense of well-being. I trained at Yale and have specialized experience in treating anxiety and trauma.
I believe in the process of personal change and take great joy in supporting people as they reach towards becoming their best selves. I feel truly fortunate for the opportunity to engage in this meaningful work together.
