Is your child struggling? Have you tried office based therapies and found them to be ineffective? Equine Partnered Play Therapy (EPPT) may be your next step. EPPT takes place in a pasture with two miniature horses, a professionally licensed therapist (me!) and a Certified Equine Specialist. This unique approach to therapy provides children with an opportunity to work through big thoughts, feelings and behaviors while in nature, bonding with miniature horses. I also offer online Child Parent Relational Training (CPRT). CPRT teaches YOU how to relate in healthy ways with your children. Reach out for more information!
In EPPT, we create a safe and permissive environment for your child to express themselves through their play and interaction with miniature horses. When needed, we will set and enforce appropriate limits, which helps your child learn to regulate and manage their feelings and behaviors.
EPPT and CPRT can help children and families work through a variety of struggles like anxiety, depression, sudden life changes, ADHD and trauma. CPRT can help children and families of all ages. EPPT is best suited for children between the ages of 4 and 10 who are still interested in imaginative play. If this sounds like your child, come play with us!
