About

My practice is named En Route because in my experience all of us are on some form of journey. Sometimes our journeys are smooth, other times they're complicated and maybe frightening. Very few people create and sustain change all alone. Community is essential and it can be fun. There are so many directions to head and goals to accomplish on our journeys; it is my honor and privilege to join people and groups on their paths. Turns out a lot of us learn best by doing. Horses help us make real time change and offer instant feedback. It doesn't hurt that horses have much in common with people and act as great relationship role models.
Office Therapy is available in person or over Zoom. The office rate is $130 (or applicable co-pay with insurance). Equine Therapies are often not covered by insurance, therefore, Equine sessions are offered at the discounted rate of $90/hr.
Congratulations on your interest in a change journey! If you have questions please reach out. You're welcome to request a session using my online calendar here: www.therapyportal.com/p/enroute/

Amanda Speer's Groups

Therapy with a Horse? Of course!

Horses pay attention! As a prey animal, a horse's safety depends on his being aware of his surroundings and everyone in it. This means horses give us real time feedback about how they experience us. Succeeding in relationship with horses comes when we're being honest, clear and fair. Success with horses also requires confidence. Horses look to us for leadership. Once they're convinced we're comfortable in a leadership role they also become comfortable. It's an honor and responsibility to have a horse's trust. Equine therapy invites you to improve your self awareness , build you leadership skills and communicate clearly.
