My name is Amanda Sapale and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Denver, Colorado and working with clients statewide via telehealth. Everyone comes to therapy with a unique background and goals, so I don't believe there's any single approach that is perfect for every client in every situation. That's why I combine aspects of different approaches to craft the treatment that will work best for you. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community myself, I'm very passionate about helping those who are trying to figure out who they are and what they want in life.
Clients have remarked on how quickly they felt safety in our sessions because of my warm and approachable style. While still maintaining professional boundaries, I make it a point to be authentically myself. It would hardly be fair for me to expect clients to be vulnerable if I were to hide behind an artificially stiff and formal facade.
I have training, yes, but I believe YOU are the expert on your own experience. My priority is working on goals that you find motivating and meaningful. I'm always happy to help you explore what those might be, but I will never try to impose goals on you.
