Specialties include individual counseling & sport psychology coaching with adolescents, college students, student athletes, emerging adults, eating disorders/body image, anxiety, normal developmental adjustment, identity development, trauma, grief, and phase of life transitions. I also value psychoeducational and outreach opportunities. I work best with individuals who are motivated, willing to open up, and seeking to better understand themselves psychologically and physiologically. I uphold a holistic outlook and focus on the person behind the problem.
I utilize a person-centered orientation with a trauma-informed lens while integrating tenants from CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. When appropriate, I apply my Exercise Science background to help clients grasp a better understanding of themselves on a physiological level.
My counseling philosophy aims to foster self-awareness, adaptiveness, and psychological flexibility. I believe in the power of connection, authenticity, vulnerability, and self-compassion. Together, we work to discover the root of the roadblock, explore your multidimensional humanness, foster your innate strengths, and chase integration of mind/body/soul.
