I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with supervisory designation (LISW-S) and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) providing therapy services to residents of Ohio. My background includes working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients to address concerns related to substance use, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and many other conditions. I hold a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Olivet Nazarene University.
I approach therapy from a very client-centered perspective. I firmly believe that my clients are the experts on their own lives, situations, experiences, and needs. My goal is to partner with them in building additional skills, insights, and understandings to improve their overall well-being.
I regularly utilize tenets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and other evidence-based interventions to assist my clients in meeting their individualized goals.
