Children often do not have the right words to express their thoughts and feelings. I will work with your child and family to find healing. Play therapy involves children sharing their feelings and working through problems using play rather than just talking. The toys are the child's words and play is the child's language. I use a variety of techniques including sandtray, play therapy, art therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy to help process difficult life situations, for adults, teens and children.
I have worked as a therapist with children, adolescents and adults for over 10 years. I am a Registered Play Therapist as well as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been trained in sandtray, MANDT, play therapy, TF- CBT, and family systems theory. I have experience working with severe mental illness, intellectual disabilities and autism.
