I work with and support individuals who consistently find themselves in depressive and anxious positions towards life. Individuals who are at the precipice of some change whether that be internal, external, or both. Places you feel stuck and unseen. I particularly specialize in working with men and women who have experienced some form of military/systemic trauma. I have experience with the military both personally and professionally. I value the space we create together and trust in the unfolding dynamic process of therapy.
I offer psychoanalytic/depth psychotherapy, both an empirically validated and creative type of therapy that focuses on emotional experience, defensive strategies (how we avoid painful intolerable feelings and thoughts), recurring patterns and themes in our lives and our relationships, and particular emphasis on the unconscious utilizing symbols and dreams.
I offer a free initial consultation so that patients (and I) can get an initial picture of what is needed in the therapy, whether I think I might be able to help, and if the pairing feels like a good fit for us both. I accept various forms of insurance and am flexible to what financially works for you. I look forward to meeting you, wherever you may be.
