An old Chinese Proverb says... "the longest journey begins with a single step." Whether you are battling depression, facing life changes or just need extra support, I welcome you to take that single step in your new journey with me. I counsel individuals ages 18+ who are struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, relational, grief, and trauma.
My therapeutic approach is strengths based and the method I use is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Simply put, this means change your thoughts, change your behavior, change your life. For younger clients, I am trained in Trauma Focused-CBT. This training allows me to work with teens who have experienced trauma in their lives.
Life is serious, therapy doesn't have to be. I have a light-hearted style with my clients and utilize humor in session where appropriate. I look forward to working with you on this journey of life.
