Hi I am Amanda Behrendt, formerly Amanda Crawford. My life's journey has led me here to a career in helping others. I graduated from Montana State University with a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. My ideal client would be an adolescent or an adult who is ready to make changes or a parent/caregiver or soon to be parent who may be struggling with all of the challenges of parenthood. Counseling is a partnership but can only result in growth if the client is ready to make changes and is ready to allow for growth to occur.
My passion for working collaboratively with others to find healing, strengths and growth has brought me to working as a counselor with a variety of individuals. I have experience working with parents and caregivers in the perinatal period, adults and adolescents in outpatient facilities and schools, and adolescents in inpatient/residential facilities.
My approach is based on helping others live fulfilling and meaningful lives. The goal is to discover ones authentic self and then to support them in making choices that are aligned with core aspects of who they are. In addition, helping one to discover the power they have in creating a life that is best suited for themselves.
