I work with individuals to meet each person where they are and collaborate with them on their counseling experience. My focus is rooted in a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. I frequently integrate traditional talk therapy with creative modalities like expressive arts, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and mindfulness/somatic-based therapy; which helps in creating an authentic, therapeutic space. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I earned a B.A. in Applied Behavioral Sciences from Ashford University and a M.A. in Professional Counseling, from Liberty University.
My special interests are working with children and families with special needs and mental health issues. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups from all backgrounds and beliefs. I can additionally implement faith-based Christian counseling.
Other areas of interest include, but are not limited to: self-esteem, coping skills, stress management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, issues that influence academic and job performance, life transitions, parenting, and communication.
