Not accepting new clients
I am a licensed professional counselor and certified eating disorders specialist. I enjoy working with adults 18+ and elder adults. Most clients come to me with a combination of concerns from history of trauma, to eating disorders, to depression and anxiety. To me the most important aspect of psychotherapy is the relationship between therapist and client and I consider it a privilege to work alongside others towards creating a more fulfilling and authentic life. I strive to provide an environment where clients feel safe to disclose private thoughts, feelings, and dreams and feel comfortable taking emotional risks.
I am an integrative clinician incorporating different treatment models based upon the client. Theoretical orientations include psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT, DBT, existential, and experiential models. I am trained in EMDR and use structural dissociation theory. I also like to draw from mindfulness-based techniques and use humor as appropriate.
Specialty areas for me include trauma, eating disorders, women's issues, mood disorders, addiction, and family dynamics. I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions. Please feel free to contact me for an initial phone consultation to see if we may be a good fit.
