Hi! I'm Amanda. I am so honored to work with Clients of all ages. I specialize in Children (birth-6, school aged, teens) and adults of all ages. I bring strengths based work, lots of compassion, and a variety of activities to spark creativity, personal insight and resilience. I work with the family system and individuals. My specialties include Adoption, Trauma, Abuse/Neglect, Mood disorders (Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, etc.), Early Childhood Mental Health (age 0-6), Adoption and Foster care, Attachment and Bonding, and HFA/Autism. For kids, I use a variety of social games and art tasks to get their thoughts (adults like them, too.)
I've been practicing Counseling and Art Therapy since 2008 & received my supervision license in 2018. I have two Master’s degrees (1) University of Georgia in Child and Family Development (2004) and (2) Art Therapy and Counseling from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, OH (2008). I've worked with adoptions, foster families, people with neurodivergence.
I know everyone has abilities, strengths, and expertise, I build off that. I look forward to speaking with you. I hope to provide a safe space for emotional work and vulnerability, a judgment free zone, for you to explore, play and to find A-HA! moments. I accept out of pocket payments and maintain a sliding scale.
