Our childhood experiences matter. Children are capable of experiencing powerful emotions that shape their emotional and relational lives moving forward. Whether you are looking for support for your child or your own inner child, I specialize in helping clients and families heal following adversity....months, years and sometimes decades later. It is never too late to heal. My passion is to help individuals experiencing relational or behavioral difficulties find healing and an increased sense of well-being. Trauma healing, ADHD, depression, grief, anxiety and eating disorder recovery are some of my special interest areas.
I take a holistic approach in treating children and families and with specialized training, I am able to apply many of the techniques that my adult clients find helpful to my work with younger children using play therapy, sand tray therapy, art therapy and EMDR techniques.
As a family therapist I am trained in understanding the complexity of family dynamics and relational trauma. It's challenging to think about those less than nurturing childhood experiences, but I find that it is right outside our comfort zone where the magic happens.
