My specialties are in couple's issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss (particularly partner, parent, or child loss), chronic or terminal illness, as well as infertility and postpartum mood disorders. I enjoy working with infidelity, identity issues, and folks facing midlife crisis concerns (they are VERY real!). I especially enjoy treating issues related to parenting, including the complex demands placed on parents of disabled children. My book, How to Handle More Than You Can Handle: Caring for Yourself While Parenting a Disabled Child, came out in 2025. You can buy it anywhere books or audiobooks are sold!

As humans, we are influenced, not defined, by our relationships and pasts. It is important to understand that link before we are able to successfully change our behaviors. As a therapist, I prefer a warm approach to therapy and love getting to know my clients. Lastly, I strongly believe that a healthy dose of humor makes therapy a lot easier!

I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, an LMFT (IL, CO, FL, and WI) and a graduate of the Family Institute at Northwestern. I'm an AAMFT approved supervisor and hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. I'm EMDR and EFT trained & recently taught a graduate course at Adler University on Perinatal Mental Health.
