I understand that entering therapy is not always an easy task. It takes courage to ask for help. As psychologist Viktor Frankl once said, “In some ways suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning, such as the meaning of a sacrifice.” I work to help you find meaning. It’s important to me to provide you with a safe, nurturing environment. I am trained in EMDR, a modality used to help process traumatic memories and the cognitions associated with them.
In my approach to therapy, you will gain insight into why you feel the way you do and learn present centered techniques to change your state of mind at any given moment, changing your state of being to one of unlimited energy, inspiration, sense of purpose and meaning.
I have worked extensively with children, adolescents, and young adults who have struggled with a wide range of psychological issues including neurodevelopmental, mood, and complex trauma. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss.
