Hello! I am Amanda, counselor of 17 years, wife of 19 years, and mother for 12 years and counting. I have been a resident of the North Austin area for the last five years and am a Texas native, though I did spend some time growing up in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. I am active in my son’s school, my church and my community which I am happy to call home. I have worked in domestic violence shelters, residential programs for children, with Child Protective Services, and in Private Practice. For many years I have had the privilege of joining my clients in the process of change. We go through so much in our lives.
First sessions are a change for us to get to know each other. I take the opportunity to discuss with you what you are looking for in therapy and answer any questions you might have, and ensure that I am a good fit for what you are looking for in a therapist.
I am registered with the American Society of Reproductive Medicine behavioral health division- specializing in counseling those going through infertility and loss. I also work with those considering adoption, and those going through pregnancy and child loss. I am trained as a Christian/Biblical therapist and practice such upon request.
