My background as a film producer, trained in clinical counseling depth psychology, offers a range of treatment modalities including Brainspotting focused on getting to the underlying issues that perpetuate chronic cycles of pain. We find creative solutions, working with dream image and active imagination to help you move forward and recover authentic self.
Our work together begins with an understanding that you are not alone. Together we will walk the journey side by side and sift through the lost heart of the self to help integrate and regain a sense of balance, wholeness and purpose. "Recovery of the Creative Self"
"We are creative beings, our lives become our works of art" (Cameron, 2012) STOP telling yourself, "It's too late"! As you learn to recognize, nurture and protect your inner artist, you will be able to move beyond pain and creative constriction. You will learn to recognize and resolve fear, remove emotional scar tissue and strengthen your confidence. Damaging old ideas about creativity will be explored and discarded. This 10 session group is a guided encounter with your own creativity, and will make you excited, angry, afraid, joyous, hopeful, and ultimately, more free to live in your authentic, creative self.
