About
I understand the importance of a collaborative relationship in therapy and believe it is the most important vehicle for change. I attempt to provide a warm, caring, and accepting atmosphere that will encourage clients to move towards their goals and improve their lives. My professionalism, authenticity, and sense of humor set me apart as a clinician. I specialize in working with individuals and couples that have been impacted by sexual trauma.
I excel in working with adults recovering from childhood abuse or mistreatment. I also enjoy assisting clients who are struggling with anxiety disorders. In my couple's work, I use the Gottman method combined with an interpersonal approach to help couples improve their relationship dynamics and move toward their goals.
I integrate mindfulness and acceptance-based CBT with an interpersonal approach. I work with clients to increase emotional awareness and self-compassion. I help clients identify their unique strengths in order to develop healthy coping skills. I use mindfulness and relaxed breathing techniques to help clients manage difficult emotions.
