Hi, I’m Amanda, a Licensed Clinical Therapist specializing in child-centered play therapy and counseling for children, adolescents, and adults. I help clients express emotions, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills through developmentally appropriate, creative, and compassionate care.
Parents often seek therapy when their child is struggling with anxiety, behavior challenges, low self-esteem, or emotional regulation at home or school. I offer parenting psychoeducation to help parents connect with their children and give them the tools to set their family up for success.
In child-centered play therapy, play becomes a child’s language. Through toys, art, and imaginative activities, children safely explore feelings, process challenges, and grow emotionally in a space where they feel understood and empowered. This approach is effective for anxiety, anger, grief, trauma, and family transitions.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University, and am certified in Infant Mental Health. My background as a child welfare worker gave me firsthand experience supporting children in academic, community, and emotional settings. I’m honored to support individuals and families on their path toward healing, resilience, and connection.
