About
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist and have been providing therapy services to children and families in the Asheville area since 2005. My work with children is an integration of person-centered and strengths based perspectives. I use both non-directive and Cognitive Behavioral based play therapy as well as expressive arts to offer children a voice in their struggle to express themselves and identify and process their feelings in a safe space. I believe that "radical acceptance" and a strong trusting relationship are key in helping children and heal and grow.
I offer an integration of child centered and cognitive behavioral based play therapy, as well as EMDR and expressive arts interventions.
I am available to see children in my office space, at daycares, some schools, and the child's home. ***Currently, I do not have new client availability.
