About
Relationships are hard work. Sometimes we need help processing emotions and allowing our wounds to heal. Therapy can help unpack years of sweeping things under the rug, or simply equip you with skills to have more fulfilling relationships. In addition to couples therapy, I enjoy working with individual women dealing with transitional issues, anxiety & depression, and self improvement. I have a clinical interest in conflict resolution, parenting, grief & loss, infertility, and long term illness. I also have experience in corporate settings, providing therapy after workplace trauma. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that we are more than our individual selves. We are influenced, although certainly not defined,by our relationships, families, and pasts. I believe It is important to understand that link before we are may be able to successfully change our behaviors.
I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (in both Illinois and Colorado) and a graduate of the Family Institute at Northwestern University. I am an AAMFT approved supervisor and hold a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. I'm also in the process of being EMDR trained.
