Hello & welcome! Asking for help is not easy, but there’s a part of you that’s wishing something was different and that same part of you has led you here. I have gratitude for that courageous part of you. I am a trauma-informed therapist with 14 years of experience working in organizations that serve children and adults. My experience as a therapist in schools, treatment centers, and medical settings have equipped me to work with a variety of mental health needs. I am honored that my work history has granted me the opportunity to work with people of various racial, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
I support survivors of trauma (highly stressful events, unexpected life changes) and teens and adults trying to manage anxiety, depression, grief and loss. I utilize different therapy modalities, including EMDR, CBT and Relational Therapy. EMDR is highly researched and commonly the first line of treatment for PTSD, trauma and distress.
We are hurt in relationships and we are healed in relationships. The most important factor in client success is the quality of the relationship with their therapist. My style is warm, playful, compassionate, and I invite humor into the room. My goal from our first session is to ensure you feel seen and emotionally safe.
