As a clinical neuropsychologist, it is my goal to understand the relationship between the brain and cognitive/behavioral functioning. I work with patients with a variety of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders to help with diagnostic clarification based on the findings of a comprehensive evaluation. The evaluation incorporates information gathered from a clinical interview with the patient (and at times an accompanying family member), responses on emotional/behavioral questionnaires, and performance on standardized cognitive measures.

Greetings! Let me introduce myself. My name is Dr. Patrick Andretta. Most refer to me as Dr. "A". I am an easygoing and friendly Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 20+ years experience treating those with anxiety, depression, PTSD and adjustment issues. My patients benefit from learning productive ways of thinking that help them deal more effectively with their stressors and other life changes. I also work with the elderly and their siblings to enhance interpersonal communication for a more positive home environment, facilitating acceptance of health issues and other challenges associated with advanced age. I perform testing to assess IQ, address cognitive deficits and memory issues.

Behavioral Mental Health Counseling PLLC caters to individuals, families groups and organizations throughout Long Island NY and the five boroughs of New York City. I also provide off-site services to individuals unable to travel. Joanne has years of experience treating the adults, elderly and special-needs population both in community and medical settings. While working towards her Bachelor's degree in social work, Master's degree in social work and her Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), Joanne has worked in community mental health, sub-acute inpatient rehabs and hospitals, providing individual and family therapy to those affected by health and psychosocial/socioeconomic challenges as well as trauma.

The goal of my practice is to improve the quality of life of my clients and assist them reach their full potential and personal goals. Specializing in family and couple therapy. I also specialize in depression and anxiety. The ideal client will be dedicated to their own treatment and have a strong desire to feel better.
