I enjoy working with a wide range of clients who have unique needs and diverse backgrounds. My clients often struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and substance abuse. I am especially familiar with opioid abuse and the use of medication-assisted treatment (MAT). I also have experience working with the elderly and their family. My work includes educating their families and caregivers about dementia and how to use various interventions to ease the pain of this disease. I remind their caregivers how to take care of themselves as well.

I provide assessment and treatment of physical and mental health problems. I have forensic expertise and perform many types of specialized testing. I treat patients with complex challenges such as chronic pain, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and work injuries. My specialties include treatment of injury, opioid dependence, trauma, panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. I am trained in advanced psychological testing techniques. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, and other treatments that are supported by research. I help patients become aware of harmful patterns, and use mind body therapies including biofeedback and meditation.

Dr. Bennett is a clinical neuropsychologist with over twenty years of experience in assessing a broad variety of neuropsychological and mental health issues. He specializes in assessing dementia and other neurocognitive disorders (Alzheimer’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, vascular dementia and stroke, Parkinson’s disease, etc.), traumatic brain injury and concussion, psychoeducational issues (ADHD, learning disability, giftedness/IQ, testing accommodations), pre-surgical assessments (including spinal cord stimulator and bariatric surgery), and specialized personality/psychopathology evaluations (PTSD, Major Depression, and GAD)

My practice, Clinical & Forensic Neuropsychology Services of MS, specializes in the psychological and neuropsychological evaluation of cognitive, emotional, and psychological conditions in adults and older adults. I also provide outpatient psychotherapy for a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, adjustment to stressors (e.g., health decline, bereavement), and coping with chronic medical illnesses. Therapy treatment plans are individualized, based upon the best available research for treating a particular condition, and time-limited (typically 5-15 sessions).
