She completed her PhD in Medical and Clinical Psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012. Her practice blends neurobiological, interpersonal, and humanistic treatment modalities. Specializing in behavioral medicine, the mind-body connection is a central theme in her work. Dr. Barreto offers home visits to homebound and hospice patients.

Kristian received her Bachelor's degree at the University of North Florida followed by her Masters at Webster University. She engages others by building a rapport while also assisting her families to achieve set goals.
