My specialties of couples therapy, aging clients, divorce adjustment and coparenting, and men's issues. . Most couples who attend will seek to improve their relational skills such as better communication, revitalized positive emotions toward each other, or to resolve conflicts. Frequently, families going through divorce will also seek support to deal with the challenges from resolving parenting or co-parenting issues, or improve live changes. For years I have worked with men's issues which range greatly from relational problems to attaining their goals of identity.
As a graduate faculty I specialize in systemic work with over 40 years of practice. My style is to use collaborative language to team with clients. I find their are two areas that couples therapy can support - changing attitudes toward each other and learning needed skills. For individuals I am strength based. I believe you have skills but need support.
Working with people has been a passion in my life work. I believe you need to find the best fit as a consumer. If we fit well, then we will be more successful. There are few situations that I have not been experienced in over the years. As a colleague said to me, "It' not what's wrong with you; It's what has happened to you." Let's find a solution.
