I work best with folks who are curious and want to do the good, hard work of discovering themselves. Whether it's anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, history of abuse, or an array of other stressors, life sometimes just...sucks. But, I believe that with curiosity, kindness and gentleness we can unpack some of these stressors and learn new ways of relating to them with awareness & hopefully pick up a few new tools along the way.
The simplicity of having a person to talk to can be one of the sweetest of gifts in doing therapy. In what other relationship is it all about you? I offer clients honest feedback & reflection, a place to process through life's challenges, tools to help cope with stressors and the opportunity to reacquaint them to their honest selves.
I was often expected to play roles and take care of the chaos of others around me, becoming responsible for things not my own. Relearning, reclaiming and re-equipping became vital tools when I began the good hard work of breaking maladaptive patterns of relating, setting up boundaries & sticking up for myself to find the life that felt well with me.
