I am passionate about working with clients who feel unsure of themselves, whether from codependent or people-pleasing tendencies, or the impact of not being believed after traumatic experiences like sexual assault or domestic violence. I find it meaningful to help people rediscover resilience after trauma, create fulfilling relationships, and set boundaries that connect rather than isolate. My approach is collaborative and supportive, fostering safety and trust so clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they move toward healing and personal growth.
Beyond my work as a therapist, I draw on life experiences that help me connect with clients. Making music with my family, singing at church, and motherhood have taught me about connection, sacrifice, and resilience. My work supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault deepened my understanding of trauma, healing, and empathy.
As part of Chenal Family Therapy PLC, I consult with our team of therapists and psychiatrists who specialize in different issues, ensuring that all possible treatment approaches are considered. If we encounter problems outside my areas of expertise, I can provide seamless referrals, including testing and medication management, to get you the needed help.
