Hi, I'm Alyssa! Thanks for being here. I truly understand that the decision to pursue therapy can be a difficult process especially if you have experienced trauma. It is my goal to support clients in healing their nervous systems so that they may bring out the best in themselves and begin feeling safe in the world again. My specialties include supporting those managing trauma/CPTSD and resulting anxiety, OCD, substance misuse, depression, self-blame, and social struggles. I proudly utilize integrative, body-based approaches to therapy in order to address my clients needs, including EMDR, somatic practices, and parts work.
I look at everything through a trauma lens, as it is my belief that the majority of our difficult feelings, behaviors, and relationship struggles stem from unmet needs or life-altering experiences. With all of my training, my most valued intervention in eliciting change is the process of building and fostering the therapeutic relationship.
I view all humans as complex, multi-faceted beings who deserve unconditional acceptance, connection, play, accessibility, safety, and representation. As such, I spend significant time and care in working with all of my clients. I welcome all humans in my therapy practice and I am honored to be a source of support as long as I am needed.
