I am a Licensed Sex Offender Evaluator (LSOE) and provide adult and adolescent psychosexual evaluations. A psychosexual evaluation is a comprehensive evaluation which focuses on an examinee’s sexual development, sexual history, and healthy and unhealthy sexual interests/arousal. Typically, the purpose of the evaluation is to thoroughly assess an examinee’s risk and protective factors for sexual offending or recidivism and offer individualized treatment and other recommendations.
The evaluation will consist of several steps, including gathering information from clinical/sexual history interviews and participating in psychological and psychosexual assessments. I may also request mental health records, detention records, and school records, as well as talk to someone who knows the examinee well.
Psychosexual evaluations can be requested at pre-trial stages, pre/post sentencing stages, pre-release stages, and the time of registration expiration.
