As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) I tailor my approach to each client in order to ensure optimal treatment for the individual and their needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients build a more positive approach to thinking and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as a method to help encourage healing and progress. I teach Mindfulness skills to help slow down anxious thoughts and connect with the present. With Motivational Interviewing we'll work to keep you focused on goals. I also use play and art therapy with children to encourage a fun therapeutic environment.
In order to support clients, I will address each area of life that may be causing stress or pain. The goal is to increase strengths and decrease negative habits. I will help recognize and change patterns that may be causing further conflict and explore new ways to address challenges.
My goal is to make sure my clients feel comfortable and safe, but also challenged and supported during their therapeutic experience. I would like to help you restore balance by collaborating together to reach treatment goals and work through addiction, eating disorders, work stress, depression and/or anxiety.
