About
Taking the step to start therapy can be difficult and filled with mixed emotions; everybody deserves the best chance in the game of life.I'm here to help you play the cards you've been dealt-just with a little more intention and strategy. I am a LCMHC, CRC, and a facilitator for MHFA. My years of experience providing individual, child/couple/family, and completing various psychological assessments allows me to keep my focus on my client, their needs, and the ebbs and flows of life. It is my hope to help the person's life become more manageable, instead of life managing the person.
I have a vast knowledge of evidenced-based therapies (CBT, DBT, ACT, Brief-Solution Focused Therapy), as well as an understanding of holistic methods of treatment. Given my academia and therapeutic experience, I specialize in Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, Personality Disorders, Children/Family/Marriage challenges, Bipolar and other Mood Disorders.
"You are not your illness. You have a story to tell. Staying yourself is a part of the battle." -Julian Seifter I believe that recovery, in whatever sense, is a journey, not a destination. Focusing on meeting the client where they are and assisting in the healing and growth process is my number one priority.
