As a previous collegiate athlete, I understand the unique challenges athletes face including: sports performance, anxiety, injury and recovery, training schedules, and post-sports transition. As a therapist, I understand how the body and mind are interconnected and impacts our mental health.
Working with athletes is very individualized and in my practice, I tailor to the nuances of athletes using strengths-based and cognitive therapy to promote emotional stability, acceptance, self-confidence, and perseverance with specific focus on teens and young adults.
