Although I consider myself able to help in addressing a number of presenting problems, I feel that my strengths lie in teaching practical coping skills for stress, anxiety, and depression. Adjusting to new circumstances in life can be difficult and I feel that I excel in building a sense of self-efficacy in my clients by focusing on their strengths and identifying needed changes.
I can help clients by teaching coping skills, providing validation and support, building self-efficacy, utilizing CBT to reframe negative thoughts, utilizing ACT to build distress tolerance, and utilizing brief solution-focused therapy to identify way in which clients can mitigate the effects of the problems they encounter.
I encourage individuals of all races, sexual orientations, religions, genders, and otherwise to know that I will treat them with the acceptance and respect that they deserve.
