Cognitive behavioral therapy Problem Solving Client centered Faith based interventions. I typically work with individuals 13 years of age and up. I further utilize a Socratic methods to gain better understanding of my clients and there presenting problem. I am an active listener in which to build therapeutic rapport with direct approach when engaging with clients.
My first career was law enforcement and I noticed that I the profession was reactive not proactive in service others and trying to address problems prior to individuals encountering the criminal justice system. I want to be able to solve problems with the client leading the way to reduce mental health barriers
In a collaborative approach however I advocate for client to take lead on goals client wants to attain during therapy. I use Socratic methods to learn and build rapport with client.
