I am a Licensed Psychologist with specialized training in the evaluation of autism, learning disabilities, intellectual, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral difficulties. I treat adults, adolescents and children. I have a holistic/integrative approach which focuses on the relationship between mind, body, and spirit attempting to understand and address the ways issues in one aspect of a person can lead to concerns in other areas. With an integrative approach to mental health and wellness, I am available to collaborate with your other health providers (e.g., psychiatrists, holistic/alternative/functional medicine doctors).
While I am not against medical treatment or medications, and I support the usefulness of prescription drugs to suppress difficult experiences, I am a firm believer that clients and parents need to know about the risks of psychiatric medications as well as alternative treatment options for themselves and their children.
I speak Spanish fluently and I have published several research articles related to the evaluation and intervention of culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Parent Training Program
Although many techniques taught in behavioral parent training are common sense parenting techniques, many parents need careful teaching and support to learn parenting skills and use them consistently. Some of the topics covered included but no limited to: 1) Establishing house rules, structure and consistent routines 2) Learning to praise appropriate behaviors 3) Using appropriate commands. 4) Planning ahead and working with children in public places 5) Daily charts and point/token systems with rewards and consequences School-home note system for rewarding behavior at school and tracking homework.
