I approach the therapeutic process of understanding the human lived experience with humility, curiosity and respect. My clinical orientation is intersectional and eclectic. I work with adolescents and adults using a strengths-based approach that empowers the client to cope with their circumstances and bring positive changes into their lives.
I believe that the client is the expert of their story and I approach the process as a partnership. I encourage clients to ask me any questions about my professional background or the process of therapy. Additionally, I also let them know that they can choose to share what they want with me only if/when they feel safe and comfortable doing so.
