I've worked in the field of counseling/social work for over 20 years. I also served as an adjunct professor of social work for over 10 years, so I like to incorporate teachings on mental health issues into sessions (psychoeducation). I'm an author of four books and creator of Date or Mate card game which helps people have conversations to ask the important questions they need to know when forming bonds. Most of my clients are males who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and/or trauma; however, I do work with females as well. I can work with adult individuals residing in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.
I enjoy helping individuals overcome obstacles. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and provide psycho-education because I want clients to understand their condition, recognize the symptoms, and be willing to start the healing process so that we can create goals for treatment together that will allow them to feel better about life & function more effectively.
