Therapy can be a difficult step, and even more difficult to find a therapist you connect with. I work to develop a therapeutic relationship in which realizations can occur and positive changes can be made. I have experience with both group and individuals, and the intention is always to help enhance the client's current level of functioning and overall condition. My areas of expertise include behavioral issues, childhood trauma, insecure attachments, familial issues, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety.
Allyson utilizes a multitude of approaches. She doesn't believe one style or approach works for all, or even one person. So, she chooses to tailor her approach to each person, and their needs individually. Some common approaches can include, CBT, ACT, mindfulness, Gottman, and Positive therapy.
I believe my communication style is best described, and clear, and direct, but still compassionate and understanding. Allyson approaches goals fairly quickly in the process, she will also check in regularly with her clients about progress, so it is always clear how they are doing.
