About
Hello! I'm Allyson, and I'm so glad you're here. I know that seeking therapy can be challenging, and finding a good fit is so important. I specialize in helping folks manage anxiety, life transitions, navigating college, burnout, and work/life balance-including exploring possible career change. In addition I have special interests/experience in body image concerns, healing your relationship with food/breaking up with diet culture, and use a HAES and body neutrality lens. I am also a board-certified Art Therapist and am always happy to include this into your treatment if you are interested!
As a clinician I come from a person-centered approach, meaning I treat everyone as an individual and believe you are your own expert. My goal is to help you move forward in exploring who you are/what you actually want. What hasn’t been working in your life? What old patterns feel hard to let go of? Who/what do you need to learn new boundaries with?
We will set goals along the way and I will help you work to build new skills. We will focus on your personal strengths and growth, as well as challenge behaviors and anything else that may no longer be working for you. This may feel scary, but with support you can do hard things. Please reach out if you think I may be a good fit or if you have any questions!
