As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist, National Certified Counselor, and National Certified School Counselor, I provide mental health services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. My focus is helping clients who are struggling with parenting, anxiety, adjustment disorders, relationship issues, school adjustment, trauma, and issues involving separation and divorce.
I keep updated on current counseling techniques by participating in annual counseling conferences and participating in professional development activities. I am a current member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and Virginia Counseling Association (VCA).
Parents may find my practice most useful as I offer Child Parent Relationship Therapy-CPRT. The focus of CPRT is to strengthen the relationship between parent and child. This approach is beneficial for parents who are struggling, and it can also help those who may not be having difficulty but want to further develop the parent-child relationship.
