Hello, I'm Allison. I'm glad you are taking the next step in addressing your mental health concerns and are considering working with a therapist. This is a big step and can be an intimidating one. It takes great courage to be vulnerable, especially with a new person! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in anxiety, OCD and related disorders. I empower individuals to take control of their lives, after often feeling pulled in a million directions by their mental health. I enjoy working with individuals ages 12-55, utilizing a variety of techniques and interventions.
I specialize in parenting techniques and strategies for adults of children with anxiety disorders, and behavior disorders. I believe in creating a safe, warm and welcoming environment for all of my clients. Although we may not be sitting in the same room if we are virtual, I will do my best to help you feel connected through the screen!
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral techniques and a supportive approach with my clients. I believe our thoughts and feelings often influence our behavior more than we might think! I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Intensive Family Coaching, Parent Child Interactive Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for OCD.
