Sometimes we feel stuck or stagnant in our lives. I believe it is my job as a clinical psychologist to help clients and their families improve on their strengths and grow in their areas of need. I treat emotional, relationship, transition, and anxiety issues. I work from a strength-based and collaborative approach to empower clients to improve relationships, develop identity, and cope with emotional struggles. I offer individual and family therapy for adolescents and adults. I have experience working with diverse populations in a variety of settings including community mental health, psychiatric hospital, and college counseling.
I specialize in adolescents and young adults with anxiety, mood, transition, and identity development concerns. I enjoy working with clients who are motivated to move forward in their life and align their actions and values. I also do parental guidance and family work to help improve and model effective coping, communication, and problem solving skills.
I received my bachelor's degree from Northwestern University in Psychology and Spanish. I earned my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2011 and have been working private practice since 2013.
