My main forms of therapy tend to be solution focused, cognitive behavioral therapy and person centered with a priority in making changes in behavior and thinking. However, all forms of therapy are used in my practice including but not limited to narrative, reality, mindfulness, play therapy, some art therapy, and sand tray therapy to explore all facets of the self. I will use whatever works best for you. I believe that therapy is a place to explore uncomfortable emotions, issues, and trauma, as well as explore who you are, who you have been and what you want for your future with a focus on your strengths, resilience, and balance.
Since 2020 I have worked with a variety of children, adolescents, and adults in all walks of life, mental health issues, and other areas. I have significant experience with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, suicidality, self-harm, stress, negative thinking, and self-identity. I offer appointments after 5 and on Saturdays as well.
I have always viewed my practice like this: You can't start fixing the house until you clean up the glass on the floor. And that's where I try and start, taking care of the immediate problems as much as possible so we can focus on reaching where you want to be. While I cannot promise it will be easy, I can promise that I'll be there with you.
