Life can feel overwhelming and confusing when we are faced with challenges that prevent us from experiencing our authentic self. I believe positive, effective change can happen once we become more confident and empowered to express ourselves. I empower individuals to feel confident to make effective change within their life in order meet their personal and therapeutic goals. I primarily work individuals with disrupted attachments related to childhood trauma, and sexual trauma; in addition to PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD (specifically related to Relationships, Contamination, Perfectionism, Health); and Excoriation (skin picking).
My approach is compassionate, personable, direct, funny, and individualized approach throughout treatment. You can expect a safe space to speak freely, without judgement, to discuss your issues/concerns, and events in your life. I primarily use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help promote positive self-esteem, communication, and self-advocacy.
Honestly, life is tough; whether it is coping from past or present events, managing daily stressors, or learning how to embrace your authentic self. We all need support to take the first steps of change the relationship with ourselves. Let's have an initial phone conversation to discuss treatment! I am licensed in NY and NC.
