About
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Encinitas, San Diego. I am passionate about working with adolescents, adults, and families struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, body image, and relationship issues. Based on the needs of each client, I integrate therapies including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Bowen Family Systems Theory. I value working with a wide range of people of all sizes, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and have lived experience with eating disorder recovery.
I have experience working with adolescents, adults, and their families in eating disorder treatment settings and have supported individuals in their transitions back into work, school, and family life following treatment. I have also worked with athletes on their relationship with their sport and body.
Clients have described my therapeutic style as warm, empathic, energetic, and infused with humor. In addition to my clinical training, I have spent over a decade working both in the domestic US and internationally educating adolescents and young adults (ages 13-22) on self-empowerment, interpersonal skills, values-based living, and self acceptance.
