It takes courage to take the first step to participate in therapy. I begin my work with a focus on relationship building as the therapeutic relationship is essential to a successful therapy experience. I believe it is critical to view clients from a non-judgmental perspective and provide a safe space for clients to address the challenges that prevent them from living the life they desire. My role is to assist clients on their individual path to wellbeing. I am often in awe of their inherent capacity to grow and heal.
I am passionate about supporting women with complex needs including attachment injury, complex trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, and depression. I view therapy through an attachment lens and often work with clients to support them in exploring their primary early relationships and the survival patterns they developed in childhood.
I am drawn to therapeutic approaches that promote the client’s built-in resources and recognize an individual’s natural drive towards health. I specialize in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR and Trauma Informed Stabilization Treatment and have received extensive training in each modality. I also enjoy supervising newly licensed clinicians.
