I work with those that are looking to find better ways to handle interpersonal challenges and navigate life changes more effectively. My approach is fairly straightforward, I talk to people like they are people.
I use research from Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, and EMDR therapies. These modalities allow for a hybrid approach to identify challenging or unproductive ways of thinking and learn new ways to think that lead to healthier outcomes. We cannot control our feelings but we can learn to think and behave differently about our feelings.
Over the past ten years, I have worked in government, education and nonprofit as a teacher, social worker, therapist and case manager. I have also worked in retail, adult entertainment, and youth summer camps.
